Last year's strike left us high and dry and this is by far my favorite of the awards shows. I was hard pressed to find a dress I really loved last night but these ladies pulled off classic and elegant and made it look easy.
** My favorite acceptance speech(es) of the night were Kate Winslet's. She was so sweet it made me cry a little each time she took the stage. I love real people in this city.**
I also really loved Laura Dern's vintage inspired, Betty Draperesque gown but, alas, could not find a good photo of her from the red carpet.

i had a love/hate with marissa tomei..I loved the ensemble, but struggled with if it was right for the occasion
i really liked laura linney's look - casual elegance through and through. but if i could steal anyone's dress i think it would have been eva mendes'. i'm in love with her style right now!
S.N. - Agreed. I eventually decided that if it were the Oscars it would not have worked for me but pant suits are exceptable at the Golden's so I let it slide and commend her for being different.
Cassie - She was my hands down favorite! She was glowing! And the dress was old Hollywood glamour. She doesn't always hit the nail on the head but now she has really raised the bar!
I loved all the nude dresses. I saw some voted "Worst Dressed" somewhere. I also loved Drew Barrymore's hair even though a lot of people hated it. It was so "Mad Men."
You know who I thought looked best? The girl from "Slumdog Millionaire." (Although Demi Moore's whole looked was so gorgeous.)
