Iron Work

Recently I have been admiring interior railings. When 2e and I were in Mexico City last February there was gorgeous iron work all over the city that caught our eye and got us talking.

The detail in some of the buildings is nothing short of amazing The Bradbury Building, above, is a famous LA landmark that I have visited on occasion. You may recognize it from the final scene in 500 Days of Summer.

We have already started using these details in our work. Most recently in our line of rugs with this elevator grill pattern designed in 1893 for the Stock Exchange Building in Chicago.
