Massachusetts - Part I
We split our time last week between the city and the burbs, spending the first 3 nights downtown at the newly renovated Copley Square Hotel.

Strolling the streets of the South End, magically meeting fellow bloggers and indulging in some scrumptious summer fare.

An evening in the backyard of an old friend lasted into the wee hours of the morn.....

And a visit to the public gardens proving some things in this beautiful city never have to change.

Inspirational Interiors

I'm in a Hamptons state of mind.......

Heading back east in a few days to enjoy some of summer as well as attend Brimfield. It will be a first for us. Would love to hear people's recent experiences. Let the treasure hunting begin!

Birthday Wishes

I have a birthday coming up dear readers. I know comments aren't really your thing but I'll be spending the week in NYC and haven't been in years. Would love to know what shouldn't be missed or dared to try.
Back soon a little bit older and hopefully wiser to the hips and hops of a city I can't wait to see and miss to death!

Vegas World Market Show

The Las Vegas furniture show is held at The World Market Center, which is the largest furniture and interiors market in the world. The first year we went it was a little overwhelming but I wanted to walk every showroom to take away as much from the experience as I could. We only found 1 new vendor that show but the trip still was worth while. Now knowing what to expect, this year's visit was short and sweet but to the point. We found three new lines and I am scared for the deliveries to start pouring in. A peak at their showrooms will have you agreeing they have some Empiric spirit.

There were a few other textile and color trend surprises but I have plans to feature those in some upcoming posts. All in all a huge success and not a bad way to spend a couple days....

We pulled out early this morning, headed to Vegas, fired up for the furniture show. I am itching to share my photos from a really wonderful weekend but there just wasn't time before we left. The Upward Bound Shelter rooms are spectacular! You won't believe what these designers were able to pull off working {pro-bono} with donated items. Inspiring! Please come back Wednesday for a full recap of my favorite rooms as well as an update on our bake sale (we raised over $5000) AND my review of the vegas show. Well shows (to Believe or to Love?), I plan on enjoying myself a little while we're there......

We had a truly wonderful holiday south of the border. The best prescription for what ails us is rest and relaxation, sunshine, friends, and lots and lots of wine. Well, that's what I'm telling myself anyway....

Today, I'm ready for all that 2010 has to bring.
Tomorrow, we'll have to wait and see.

A Very Very Merry

You'll do alright with your Christmas of white but I'll have a blue, blue Christmas.
I'm headed south to Cabo for a very nice, very long vacation where I plan on sipping tequila instead of nog, replacing the warmth of the fire with the heat from the sun, and trading in the smell of our douglas fir for the shade of a palm. I'll be back in a few weeks, sunkissed, full of new memories, and no doubt incredibly happy. See you in the New Year.
Happy Holidays!

On Island Time
It occurred to me as I floated off shore, snorkel in mouth, sun shining down that I had neglected to blog. And for days!

On Maui. At beach. Back soon!

Boston In The Fall
Just back from a weekend on the east coast that was nothing short of spectacular.

I inhaled all of Boston's charm while still finding time to relax, catch up and laugh for days. My stomach muscles still hurt.

I'm suffering some jet lag so I'll be back tomorrow after some much needed z'sss.
