Liquid Diet :)

Let me please begin by saying this post is for ME. To remind myself about the way that I am feeling right now so that I can not complain to all of YOU down the road.

Please, Will Power, give me the strength. The strength to eat better food, drink (a lil') less alcohol, to work out, to avoid triggers, to care about my vessel and treat it with more respect than I am known to. I must, I must, I must increase my water consumption and decrease my sodium intake and turn fat into muscle!!! Like, yesterday.

I am making a promise to myself right now to be more thoughtful and to grow up a little and to not punish myself if I slip up but to pick myself up and continue the journey. I've made these promises before but I really want to be a healthier version of me in 2009 so here's to multi vitamins and multi grains and most importantly to multiple trips to the local pool where I do laps infrequently but where I would like to go 3 to 4 times a week STARTING TODAY!

Happy to say that I've started things off since my post on the right foot. I can do this!

Well week one took a dramatic turn after I willingly blew off the pool and decided to eat desert after all meals. Will Power - stop sleeping on the job!
Moving forward.......

I'm a disaster. Week two was even more grim than the first. I purchased a little somethin somethin to help motivate me (no, not happy housewives you druggy's) but I still didnt get my ass up off the couch. It was a little work out kit. DVD's, weights, blah blah blah. Tomorrow we're traveling until Monday of next week so I am just praying - yes PRAYING - that when we return I can start this new chapter. The chapter I have been stuck rereading is getting old. And soft. And bigger. And tired of being old and soft and bigger....

Okay! Progress. We returned from our debaucherous weekend back east to a sound mind and a trip to the farmers market. I have been eating well, sleeping well, and feeling well. Today is the first day of the res of my life. My adult life, 30 yr old life. My married life. I have reachable goals and lots of support. Viva!
