Seattle

We're off on stop one of the summer wedding tour, this being the first since our own. We'll be up in Seattle, 2E's hometown, for the weekend and I am looking forward to a couple things on the agenda.

The first of which is our hotel, the Arctic Club. I am a self proclaimed hotel snob and love hotels with a little quirk and a lot of jazz. This one fits the bill perfectly.

Next up is the wedding, of course, which is taking place on Vashion Island.

The wedding is at a private estate and appears from the invite to be very casual and simple. I expect us to be finished early in the evening and am looking forward to a night out in the city! Surprisingly we have never bar hopped in Downtown Seattle even though we visit every summer. Usually we are at the mercy of our friends, who have made plans for us, so this will be a fun escape.

Sunday we are wrapping up our weekend with a dinner at Rialto, owned by our friend Cassandra's family. I can not wait to see the finished product of a project started while Cassandra was working with us and I got to hear all about!!

I can practically smell the garlic. Heaven.

If anyone has any tips let me know. Our days belong to us and I plan on seeing Seattle through new eyes this year. We'll be there through Monday but I may schedule a post or two to go out while I'm away....

I heart Seattle! Definitely go to Wild Ginger if you've never been. I also recommend catching a show at the Soap Box if anything good is playing. I also love Ballard's more hipster feel and highly recommend Matador. The Stranger.com is a great resource. Have fun honey!
