This weeks before and after is yet another thing not available on the showroom floor but I thought it was fun...

These Regency-style side chairs were originally upholstered in a horrendous patterned vinyl and at the store a few years back. Designer Joe Nye snatched them up, and like so many vintage pieces, we thought that was the last we'd see of them. Until now.... I received an inquiry at the store this past week about a pair of chairs, credited to us, in a past issue of House Beautiful magazine. I tracked it down and after a little research discovered these sweet gems repurposed as dining chairs.

Joe stripped the chairs down to their original bones and refinished the legs in an ebony lacquer. They were then reupholstered sans welting across the front cushion, with 3 rows of button tufting and trimmed with contrasting nail heads, deeming them almost unrecognizable.
Get inspired.....
