I just purchased this vintage print of the Jeremiah Lee Mansion {on eBay} to frame with some of my wedding shots from the same location.


It will be one year in another week! Time just keeps on slipping into the future.......

This Wedding Stinks

My girlfriend Colleen, above left, directed (and starred in) a series of hysterical photographs at a wedding a few years back. We added to the collection a few weeks ago at the Mexico City nuptials of Dana and Raul. If it isn't obvious, the theme is that we are all having a really. Bad. Time.





How adorable are the flower girls?! There are tons more but these were my favorites. I highly recommend playing this game at your next gathering (wedding or otherwise...).

We stumbled across this book at a swap meet in LA a few years back. The cover shot was taken from our balcony at the Punahoa. I realized after I posted yesterday that my early morning shot captured almost the same view. There are a few extra palms and storms change the shore line every year but its the same little beach, surf break and mountains beyond that we get to enjoy decades later.

Isn't this photo perfection! We attended their wedding in August, the last of many we went to this summer. Liz thought of everything and it showed through out the night. One special touch were the wedding photos of her relatives placed on shelves in the entry hall. It was just as beautiful, if not more so, in real life. All my love to the bride and groom.

Wedding on Vashon Island

Tea House on Vashon Island where the ceremony took place.

The detail was extraordinary!

This small "room" was on the property and was used as the Bridal Suite. We had to hop across stones to get there.

While wandering the property I also came across the home of a monk who was kind enough to let me use the bathroom so I didn't have to wait in line for the porto pottys. Yes, if you're wondering the WHOLE experience was a little like waking up in the twilight zone.

Seattle's Arctic Club Hotel

In the early 1900's they required gentleman to wear collars before entering the club.

Dome on the 3rd floor is available for wedding receptions....

They did a great job of capturing the era of their prime in the room decor.

Bathroom in our suite reminded me of Sherlock Holmes office door.

In lieu of mints on our pillow...

The hotel only opened a few weeks ago but you would never know based on the level of service and its charm. It was purchased a few years ago for a cool $5 million, the price of many homes in LA, and was renovated by Weaver Architects and Candra Scott & Anderson Interior Designs for $10 million before opening its doors.

We'll be back to play more of your pool, drink your absinthe and your delicious ginger lemon drops and take in all of your beauty.
